Also, similar to the seeds, you can use olives in a variety of ways. You can put them in your salad, use them in your cooking, or simply munch on them whilst reading a good book or watching TV.
4. Beef Jerky
Beef jerky is probably the epitome of convenience when it comes to keto snacks. It’s easy to store and transport, widely available, and it lasts a long time.
Aside from being very convenient, beef jerky is full of good fats and protein, yet low on carbs. A great choice of nibble in between meals.
However, always read the packaging before the purchase to ensure there are no added sugars. The more natural, the better.
5. Peanut Butter
Peanut butter is high in healthy fats and fiber, yet low on carbs – exactly what we should look for in a keto-friendly snack. Another positive aspect of peanut butter is that it’s inexpensive, and it tastes really good. It can easily become a staple food in your ketogenic diet.
Peanut butter makes a great ingredient for keto-friendly deserts. There are tons of free recipes online, some of which don’t even include any baking. Just search for it on Google and you’ll get offered more ideas than you can handle.
6. Pork Rinds
Pork rinds are a great keto-friendly snack. They have no carbs whatsoever, only healthy fats and protein. Pork rinds are a great alternative to chips, as they come in a variety of flavors. Of course, having them in moderation is key, as too much of anything is bad for you. Even too much of the good.
Another great way to use pork rinds is as an ingredient for your keto-friendly meals. When crushed, they make a great topping for your casserole or add some nice flavors to your pancake mix. Get creative!
7. Cherry Tomatoes
Cherry tomatoes can make a great keto snack. They are juicy, sweet, and refreshing. They’re also low on carbs and high on vitamins.
Cherry tomatoes are pretty versatile as well. You can add them to your salads, you shakes, your meals, or eat them on their own. Personally, I always have some fresh cherry tomatoes in my fridge.
8. Sugar-Free Jello
Sugar-free Jello is what it’s all about. It’s jiggly, sweet, and tastes like a real treat. If you had a bad habit with candy before starting your keto diet, sugar-free Jello can replace that guilty craving you still get.
However, make sure you check the label for the carb content. Sugar-free doesn’t always mean carb-free too.
To all the chocolate lovers out there – don’t panic! You don’t have to give this rich-tasting goodness up for your keto diet. As long as you choose chocolate that’s made of 75% cacao or more, you can indulge in having it once in a while.
